Representation & Advocacy
GNYHA advocates for the interests of hospitals, health systems, and other health care providers before the New York Legislature and United States Congress.
GNYHA monitors the development and implementation of State and Federal regulations; and prepares testimony, comments, and letters of support/opposition on issues affecting hospitals, health systems, and long term care facilities.
Policy Analysis & Legal Services
GNYHA publishes member letters and briefs on significant policy, management and operational issues and notifies members about critical meetings and briefings taking place throughout the city and State.
GNYHA also provides information on legal issues and interpretation of statutory and regulatory requirements.
GNYHA pursues appropriate legal action at both the Federal and State levels to protect member interests.
GNYHA represents member interests to appropriate State and Federal offices with respect to implementation of statutory and regulatory changes.

GNYHA publishes numerous advisories, memoranda, and legislative alerts, which contain analysis, direction, and advice on health policy, legislative, legal, and administrative issues.
GNYHA publishes an annual Membership Directory of hospitals, health systems, and long term care facilities in the metropolitan New York area and New York State, as well as New Jersey, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
